Scripture Reading: John 16:8-9 (KJV)
"And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me."
Devotional:
Conviction is the Holy Spirit’s way of making us aware of our sin. It’s not about feeling guilty because we got caught, but a heartfelt recognition that we have sinned against God. Conviction is an essential step towards salvation because it leads us to repentance.
Reflection:
Consider the areas in your life where the Holy Spirit might be convicting you. Are there sins you have been ignoring or making excuses for? How can recognizing these sins lead you back to God?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit, who convicts me of my sins. Help me to recognize and acknowledge my shortcomings. Lead me to true repentance and restore my relationship with You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Action:
Write down any areas in your life where you feel convicted. Pray over them, asking God for forgiveness and guidance. Commit to making necessary changes with God’s help.
