Scripture: Revelation 2:4-5 (KJV)
"Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent."
Devotional:
The church of Ephesus was praised for their works, but they had lost their first love. Often, we focus on the motions of faith, forgetting the foundational love for Christ that should drive our actions. To truly move forward, we must rekindle our passion for Him and return to the heart of worship.
Reflection:
What was your life like when you first fell in love with Jesus? Can you identify areas where that love has grown cold?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, reignite the love in my heart that I first experienced upon knowing You. Help me to return to those moments of pure devotion and to keep my focus on You. Amen.
Action:
Spend 15 minutes reminiscing on your early days of faith. Journal about the experiences and emotions you remember
