Scripture Reading: Exodus 4:10-12 (KJV)
"And Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue. And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD? Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say."
Devotional:
Moses expressed inadequacies and offered excuses when called by God, yet God promised to guide and assist him. Like Moses, we often present excuses to avoid God's call. However, God is our enabler and equips us with the necessary resources to overcome these excuses and fulfill His will.
Reflection:
Reflect on any excuses that are holding you back from following God’s calling or obeying His commands. Recognize that God is bigger than those excuses and desires to work through them.
Prayer:
Father, forgive me for the excuses I’ve made that keep me from fully committing to Your call. Help me trust in Your provision and guidance as I step out in faith, knowing that You will equip me for the work You’ve laid out. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Action:
Choose an excuse you've been using that stops you from obeying God's call, and take a step today towards overcoming it. This could mean signing up for a ministry, starting a conversation, or practicing faith over fear.
