Scripture Reading: Matthew 14:25-27 (KJV)
"And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid."
Devotional:
When the disciples were engulfed in fear, Jesus walked towards them on the water, the very thing they feared. His presence turned their fear into reassurance. Jesus approaches us in our deepest fears, reminding us of His constant presence and power.
Reflection:
What is the "water" you fear today? How can you shift your focus from your fear to Jesus’ presence?
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for walking towards me in my fears. Help me to hear Your voice over the chaos and trust in Your power to calm the storms within me. Amen.
Action:
Identify a fear you have been holding onto. Meditate on the fact that Jesus walks on it, showing His dominion over it. Share this reassurance with a friend who may also need encouragement.
