Scripture Reading: Matthew 15:8-9 (KJV)
"This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men."

Devotional:
In today's scripture, Jesus confronts the religious leaders about the authenticity of their worship. They honor God outwardly, yet their hearts remain distant. True worship begins in the heart—a sincere desire to please God beyond mere lip service. Our deeds should align with the love and commandments of God, reflecting a heart truly aligned with His will.

Reflection:
Consider areas of your life where you might be giving God only lip service. Are there commandments or teachings you follow more because of tradition rather than a heartfelt dedication? Invite God to search your heart and reveal where alignment with His will is needed.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, search my heart and reveal areas of insincerity in my worship and devotion. Help me to draw near to You with a true heart and understanding, that my life may reflect genuine service and love. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Action:
Spend time today in silence before God, asking Him to show you any areas of your life where you may be honoring Him with lips but not with your heart. Write these down and pray for transformation.
