Scripture Reading: Matthew 14:22-24 (KJV)
"And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away. And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone. But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary."
Devotional:
Even while doing exactly what Jesus instructed, the disciples found themselves in a storm. This shows us that storms can occur even when we are in God’s will. Jesus saw them struggling and was aware of their situation, illustrating His omnipresence and concern for our struggles. We are reminded that no storm is beyond God's understanding and control.
Reflection:
Consider a time when you faced a storm in your life. How did you feel knowing that it occurred even while trying to follow God's plan? Reflect on how Jesus sees you in your current struggles.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, help me to trust You even when I find myself in the midst of a storm. Remind me that You see me and are interceding on my behalf. Grant me peace that surpasses understanding. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Action:
Journal about a current struggle or storm you are facing. Take a few moments in prayer to ask Jesus to reveal His presence and guidance in your situation.
